About us
Atu Travel is a Romanian travel agency which organizes a great variety of nature and wildlife tours in Danube Delta, Dobrogea and Carpathians and also cultural tours in Transylvania and Bucovina region.
Atu Travel was created in 2005 by Ibis Tours (Danube Delta and Dobrogea tour operator since 1995) especially for organizing tailor-made wildlife, trekking and cultural tours for smaller groups up to 10 persons.
We organize our programs carefully using hand-picked lodges and guides who we know will light up your holiday. The tours are very flexible, depending on the tourist's demands.
Our guides are enthusiastic and professional with extensive conservation knowledge, good experience of the local area and the right personal skills. They are more than familiar with the places to be visited, always ready to answer your questions or to find right solutions in emergency situations.
Florin Palade - Specialized in geomorphology, he graduated in 2003 the Faculty of Geography - German Language, Timisoara, Romania. His vast knowledge about Romanian relief and biodiversity makes him a great guide. He has a great experience in hiking (especially Fagaras Mountains) and he is also a knowledgeable bird watcher. He speaks very well German and English. Florin owns Atu Travel together with Irina Vadineanu.
Bogdan Moldovan - Graduated the Faculty of Geography-Tourism in Timisoara and loves nature and traveling. He has a lot of experience in trekking and mountaineering (especially in wintertime) and in cycling tours. He is also specialized in wildlife and bird watching and speaks French and fluent English.
Daniel Petrescu - He was born in the Danube Delta about 30 years ago and grew up in the area. Here he has learned a lot about the nature and about the people. He started to guide trips for bird watching and nature around the Delta and Dobrogea, about 15 years ago. He is also a professional photographer.
